KATHMANDU, March 24: More than 2,200 people received health services within two days of a week-long health camp jointly organized by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the Nepal Army.
According to the MOH, 912 people on Tuesday and 1,365 people on Wednesday received free health check-up services in Rautahat.
“Nine persons on the first day and 26 persons on the second day were provided operation service free of cost,” said Colonel Deepak Adhikari of the Nepal Army. “The patients suffering from problems of uterus, hydrosol, hernia, stone, fistula, and other aliments received the free surgical services,” he added.
The more than 100 health workers including 30 medical doctors from MoH and Nepal Army were involved in the camp organized for a week.
Health Minister Gagan Thapa will attend the camp on Friday. On Thursday, Chief of Army Staff General Rajendra Chhetri inspected the camp being conducted from 7 am to 7 pm each day at Gaur District Hospital and on the premises of a Nepal Army barrack in the district.
