Mukherjee's visit to embellish Indo-Nepal ties: Indian envoy Rae

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has stated that the forthcoming visit of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee to Nepal would embellish the bilateral relations between Nepal and India.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has stated that the forthcoming visit of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee to Nepal would embellish the bilateral relations between Nepal and India. 



Talking to a team of media persons who visited Indian Ambassador's residence with a Deusi cultural programme in Kathmandu on Sunday, Indian envoy Rae reaffirmed, "Indian President's visit to Nepal would add new colour to the bilateral relationship between Nepal and India. The friendship would be further strengthened." 



Rae assured that the both sides have equally accorded importance to the visit of the Indian President to Nepal that is taking place after a hiatus of 18 years. 



He also expressed his confidence that the Indian President Mukherjee's visit would further consolidate the social, cultural and economic ties between Nepal and India. 



The Indian Ambassador acknowledged the latest bilateral visits of the Prime Ministers and Foreign Ministers as a positive development in the Indo-Nepal friendship. 



As for the Indian President's schedule, Rae mentioned that all preparations in connection to his visit had completed and the Indian President would attend the events in accordance with the itinerary. 

He also extended best wishes to the people of Nepal on the occasion of Tihar. RSS
