Municipality provides allowances to 70 women health volunteers

BAITADI, June 22: Melauli Municipality of Baitadi district has provided as much as Rs 5,000 each to the health volunteers involved in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

BAITADI, June 22: Melauli Municipality of Baitadi district has provided as much as Rs 5,000 each to the health volunteers involved in the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. 



According to Radha Ojha, deputy mayor of the municipality, the health volunteers were given the allowances for their work and dedication toward the control and prevention of COVID-19.

The allowance was provided to as many as 70 health workers for their contribution to fight the deadly virus. As stated by the municipality, the health volunteers were happy to receive the allowances.  


According to Narayan Chand, chief of the municipality’s health section, women health volunteers have played an important role in providing medical care during the pandemic. He also stated that the active involvement of the health volunteers has helped to control the spread of COVID-19.
