KATHMANDU, March 27: The Judicial Council has forwarded the name of three justices of Supreme Court to the Constitutional Council for the vacant post of Chief Justice.

The meeting of the council held on Tuesday has forwarded the name of three senior-most justices, namely Acting Chief Justice Deepak Raj Joshee, and Justices Om Prakash Mishra and Choldendra Shamsher JBR.
Joshee is working in the capacity of acting CJ after Parajuli was relieved of his post. According to the Constitution, President appoints the CJ upon the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
