National Assembly Meeting: Notice on the letter received from President's Office on Citizenship Bill to be presented

KATHMANDU, August 28: The National Assembly is holding a meeting today. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 1 PM.



In today's meeting, the Secretary of the National Assembly, Rajendra Phuyal, has a possible agenda to inform the upper house about the handling of the letter received from the President's office regarding the Citizenship Bill sent back for reconsideration by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

After that, Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina will inform the MPs about the status of the letters received from the office of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.


Secretary of the National Assembly Phuyal, received messages from the House of Representatives (HoR) regarding the 'Insurance Bill, 2075', 'Animal Health and Animal Services Council Bill, 2076', 'Public Debt Management Bill, 2076', among others passed by the National Assembly and sent to the HoR. There is a possible agenda of tabling the message sent back by the HoR with amendments to the National Assembly.
