The meeting will pick the NC candidate for the new president. NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula are eyeing for the post of new president.

However, a section of leaders have suggested President Deuba to become president himself. “Deuba has not shown any interest in becoming a new president. Although Sitaula has also staked his claim, Poudel is almost certain to become NC candidate for the new president,” said an NC leader close to Deuba.
