NC is currently holding extensive discussions to devise further strategies during their ongoing meeting.

Province working committee presidents, who are members of the Central Working Committee, are participating. This meeting marks the first time NC has included the parliamentary leaders of the provincial assemblies in such discussions.

Expressing ongoing dissatisfaction with the handling of the cooperative scam case, the NC has been consistently obstructing the House and has demanded a parliamentary probe committee to investigate Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane for his alleged involvement in the scam.

While the ruling coalition has proposed forming a committee to investigate the cooperatives-related fraud, NC is insisting that Home Minister Lamichhane’s name be included in the investigation due to his alleged ties to the scam.
