NC leader Shah cremated

JAJARKOT, March 31 :A large number of people participated in the funeral procession Nepali Congress (NC) district leader Rabindra Shumsher Shah who was gruesomely murdered by an unidentified group on Tuesday.

JAJARKOT, March 31 :A large number of people participated in the funeral procession Nepali Congress (NC) district leader Rabindra Shumsher Shah who was gruesomely murdered by an unidentified group on Tuesday. 



Shah was cremated on the banks of the local Bheri River at Thaple on Thursday monrning, two days after his murder. Locals along with leaders and cadres of NC and other political parties participated in the funeral.    



 According to Pradip Jung Shah, chief of the Hilly Region Development Campaign (HRDC), this is the first time when so many people marched together for a funeral in the district. Family members and locals have demanded to arrest the culprits and take strict action against them. Leaders and cadres of political parties said that the murder was a sign of cowardice. 



Sarpa Raj Rawat, district president of NC, said “This incident is not just a setback for the party but also has exposed the security situation in the district.” Similarly, Krishna Bikram Shah, district president of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, said “The government must nab the murderers at the earliest.”

  

Police have started an investigation into the murder by taking nine people of Jajarkot and Rukum into custody. SSP Mahesh Bikram Shah, chief of Bheri Zonal Police Office, has reached Jajarkot for investigation.
