KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The counting of votes of the central members (35 members from the open category) will start from 10 AM today at the party's central office in Sanepa. The voting was held on Monday under the 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress (NC).

The NC Central Election Committee (CEC) has urged every candidate to present him/herself or depute one of his/her representative at the vote counting station. Altogether 99 candidates are competing for 35 posts of central members (open category). The counting of votes of other party office bearers has been completed on Friday.
A total of 487 candidates had filed nominations for 134 posts including office bearers and members of the NC Central Working Committee. The NC had 4,743 delegates attending the general convention.
