NC to nominate candidate for Vice Chairman of the National Assembly

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: NC has decided to nominate a candidate for the post of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

The Central Working Committee meeting held at the residence of President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Dhumbarahi made a decision to this effect.

After the meeting, the chief whip of Congress, Ramesh Lekhtar, said that he has decided to run for the post of vice president of the National Assembly. He said that he decided to proceed after discussing with other parties.

The election for the National Assembly Vice Chairman is being held on February 6 . The tenure of the then Vice President Shashikala Dahal is expiring on March 4, 2023.
