UDAYAPUR, July 3: Nepali Congress has grabbed both the mayoral and deputy mayoral posts in Chaudandigadhi Municipality.
According to the returning officer, NC candidate Khagendra Rai and Rita Chaudhari have been elected as the mayor and deputy mayor with 6, 870 and 7,666 votes, respectively.

Elected Rai’s closest rival Nerandra Raut of CPN-UML got 6, 330 votes while Kanta Rai of the same party contesting for the post of deputy mayor got 6, 485 votes.
Likewise, Maoist Center got 4, 424 votes for the post of mayor and 48 67 votes for the post of deputy mayor, informed District Election Office.
