KATHMANDU, Jan 27: Shivam New Diamond Academy (NDA) has continued its unbeaten run in the ongoing 13th Red Bull Dhorpatan UM Women’s Volleyball Double League Tournament with a 3-1 set win over TOPS Higher Secondary School on the ninth day on Friday.
Despite losing the first set 21-25 to TOPS, NDA came back brilliantly to win three back-to-back sets by 25-19, 25-18, 25-9. In the other matches on the same day, departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) secured two wins beating Eastern Regional Volleyball Association 25-10, 25-12, 25-3 and Three Star Academy 25-5, 25-7, 25-4. Likewise, Meghauli Sports Foundation saw off Springdale 25-21, 25-19, 25-18, while the other departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) overcame Shree Gaun Sports Club 25-12, 25-17, 25-23.

NDA has accumulated 27 points from nine matches, while the third departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) is also unbeaten at second place with 24 points with a game still on hand. NPC is at the third place with 21 points from nine matches, TAC sits at the fourth place with 18 points from eight matches. Likewise, Shree Gaun and Eastern are at the sixth and seventh places with nine points each. The top six teams of the tournament will also feature in the first Shivam New Diamond Cup National Open Women’s Volleyball Tournament to start from February 4.
