Nepal Academy Delegation calls on PM Dahal

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: A delegation from the Nepal Academy including vice chairperson today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at latter office in Singha Durbar and requested for the release of additional budget to celebrate upcoming diamond jubilee of the academy and for the intra organizational 'National Talent Treatment Fund'.

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: A delegation from the Nepal Academy including vice chairperson today called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at latter office in Singha Durbar and requested for the release of additional budget to celebrate upcoming diamond jubilee of the academy and for the intra organizational 'National Talent Treatment Fund'. 



After the meeting, member secretary of the academy Dr Jibendra Dev Giri said they asked PM Dahal, also the patron of the academy, to release budget for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and manage its old library.

In response, PM Dahal said he was in favor of promoting academic activities, pledging necessary assistance for the academy, he said. 


Meanwhile, a delegation of human rights activists met with PM Dahal at latter's official residence in Baluwatar and suggested him that peace process should be concluded by ensuring acceptability of the constitution from all walks of life. 


Emerging from the meeting, former Speaker Damannath Dhungana said they asked PM to hold talks with protesting parties and the opposition party to make the constitution acceptable to all. 


In return, PM thanked the delegation for the suggestions and praised the role of human rights activists in peace process. RSS
