KATHMANDU, April 18: Nepal is placed in Group 'A' of the 2018 SAFF Championship to be held in Bangladesh in coming September. Nepal was put in the group 'A' through the draw held in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Host Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bhutan are in the Group 'A' along with Nepal.

India, Maldives and Sri Lanka are in the Group 'B' of the biennial men's soccer of the South Asian regional level scheduled from September 4 to 15.
Nepal has not yet got an opportunity to play the final match in the SAFF Championship. In the latest 11th edition, it was not out from the group match. It had reached the semi-final in the 2013 tournament held in India. RSS
