KATHMANDU, March 15: The Madhav Kumar Nepal-led faction of the CPN-UML has decided not to stop the national gathering of party leaders and cadres scheduled to be held for March 17 and 18 as there was no sign of reaching agreement with Chairman K P Oli-led faction of the party.
The decision to hold the meeting as planned before was reached during a meeting of the leaders close to Nepal held in the capital on Monday to brief about their meeting with Chairman Oli on Monday.

Standing Committee member close to Nepal-led faction, Raghuji Panta said the national gathering will be held as planned before as Prime Minister Oli did not show any sign of correcting his unilateral decision to induct 23 new Central Committee members and strip the leaders close to Nepal off their party responsibility.
The national gathering of Nepal-led faction is seen to be a preparations to split the party. Leaders close to Nepal-led faction have also decided not to attend the tea reception being organized by the Oli-led faction of the party on Tuesday.
Earlier, top leaders close to Nepal had held meeting with Chairman Oli at the Prime Minister's Official Residence in Baluwatar. This was the first meeting after the Supreme Court revived the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), invalidating their party unity.
