Nepal records 2,035 new cases, 2,336 recoveries and 25 deaths on Friday

KATHMANDU, August 27: As many as 13,117 tests for COVID-19 were conducted on Friday, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Of them 1,577 PCR tests and 488 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus.

KATHMANDU, August 27: As many as 13,117 tests for COVID-19 were conducted on Friday, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). Of them, 1,577 PCR tests and 488 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the deadly virus. 



According to the MoHP, Nepal recorded 2,035 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday alongwith 2,336 recoveries and 25 deaths.

There are currently 37,599 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 34,676 are in home isolation, 2,923 in institutional isolation, 622 in ICUs, 337 in quarantine and 171 on ventilators. 


Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 733 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 561 were recorded in Kathmandu, 66 in Bhaktapur and 106 in Lalitpur districts.
