Nepal records 2,237 new cases, 2,050 recoveries, 18 deaths on Sunday

KATHMANDU, July 23: Kathmandu Valley recorded 626 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 468 cases were detected in Kathmandu, 67 in Bhaktapur and 91 in Lalitpur districts.

KATHMANDU, July 23: Nepal recorded 2,237 new cases of COVID-19 along with 2,050 recoveries and 18 deaths on Sunday.



According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 10,569 PCR tests and 3,265 antigen tests were conducted on Sunday. Of them, 1,539 PCR tests and 698 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.

So far, 9,713 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal. 


There are a total of 24,548 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 2,680 in institutional isolation, 666 in ICUs and 168 on ventilators as of Sunday afternoon.


Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 626 cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 468 cases were detected in Kathmandu, 67 in Bhaktapur and 91 in Lalitpur districts.
