Nepal records 2,624 cases, 1,320 recoveries and 20 deaths on Saturday

KATHMANDU, August 14: The Kathmandu Valley recorded 795 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Of them, 535 were detected in Kathmandu, 96 in Bhaktapur and 164 in Lalitpur districts.

KATHMANDU, August 14: Nepal recorded 2,624 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, along with 1,320 recoveries and 20 deaths, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).



As many as 13,573 COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday. Of them 1,947 PCR tests and 677 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 40,762 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 36,002 are in home isolation, 3,403 in institutional isolational, 760 in ICUs, 186 on ventilators and 411 in quarantine as of Saturday afternoon.


Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 795 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. Of them, 535 were detected in Kathmandu, 96 in Bhaktapur and 164 in Lalitpur districts.
