Nepal records 3,106 new cases, 1,916 recoveries and 23 deaths on Saturday

KATHMANDU, July 31: Kathmandu Valley recorded 775 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 517 were detected in Kathmandu, 94 in Bhaktapur and 164 in Lalitpur districts.

KATHMANDU, July 28: Nepal recorded 3,106 new cases of COVID-19 along with 1,916 recoveries and 23 deaths due to COVID-19 on Saturday, according to the latest data of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).



With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 casetally has reached 756,739 including 654,177 recoveries and 9,857 deaths.

As many as 9,263 PCR tests and 4,256 antigen tests were conducted on Saturday, according to the health ministry. Of them, 2,280 PCR and 826 antigen tests turned out to be positive for COVID-19.


Likewise, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 775 new cases of COVID-19 on the same day. Of them, 517 were detected in Kathmandu, 94 in Bhaktapur and 164 in Lalitpur districts.


There are currently 28,254 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 3,101 in institutional isolation, 166 on ventilators and 706 in ICUs across the country as of Saturday afternoon.
