KHOTANG, JULY 24: A Nepali migrant worker died in Malaysia after being hit by a car while trying to cross a street.
The deceased has been identified as Sangita Rai of Ilam.
She had been working in Miaow Miaow Food Products at Batu Pahat district of Malaysia.
She had gone there just two month ago.
Local police has detained the car driver and is investigating the incident, according to Surya Prakash Pun Magar, a Nepali migrant worker who works at the same company as the deceased.
Her body has been taken to a local hospital for postmortem, according to him.
The company and Nepalis in Malaysia are preparing to send her body to Nepal.
Rai has a son in Nepal.
