KATHMANDU, Nov 11: President Bidya Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-appointed province governors amidst a special function organized at Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas, on Thursday.

Earlier, the government appointed new governors for Province 1, Sudurpaschim Province, and Karnali Province. The Cabinet meeting held on Monday recommended Parshuram Khapung as the new governor for Province 1, Tilak Pariyar for Karnali Province, and Devraj Joshi for Sudur Paschim Province.
Before this, Somnath Adhikari was serving as the governor of Province 1 while Gangaprasad Yadav and Govinda Prasad Kalaoni were serving as the governors of Sudur Paschim Province and Karnali Province, respectively.
