New Suzuki Wagon R arrives in Nepal

KATHMANDU, April 18: CG Motocorp, the authorized distributor of Suzuki four-wheelers for Nepal, has launched the third generation Wagon R.

KATHMANDU, April 18: CG Motocorp, the authorized distributor of Suzuki four-wheelers for Nepal, has launched the third generation Wagon R. 



"The car is built on HEARTECT platform that increases safety of occupants through effective absorption of impact and dispersion of crash energy," the company said in a statement.

The new car, which comes with 1.0 liter and 1.2 liter engines, offers excellent fuel efficiency for both engine options – 21.5 km/l for 1.2 liter variant and 22.5 km/l for 1.0 liter variant, the company added in the statement.


According to the company, Maruti Suzuki and its partners spent approximately Rs 6.7 billion for development of Big New Wagon R. Safety features in the new car include dual airbags, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, speed alert system, and rear parking sensors, among other. These are standard features across all variants. 

"For the new generation connected customers, the new Wagon R comes with next generation SmartPlay Studio Infotainment system.


The SmartPlay Studio is a 17.78 cm touch infotainment system that combines smartphone, vehicle and cloud-based services. In addition to listening to music, one can also can surf news, get the latest weather updates, and locate nearby eateries," it added.


Price of the new Wagon R starts from Rs 2,499,000, according to the statement.
