KATHMANDU, Feb 19: President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Rajesh Jha, the newly-appointed governor of Province 2.
Jha took the oath amid a function held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Friday afternoon, as per Article 167 of the Constitution.

Jha who is from Rautahat district was appointed the new governor of Province 2 as per Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
Earlier today, the president relieved Tilak Pariyar of his duty as the province chief. Pariyar is a leader close to the Dahal-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party.
