SARLAHI, July 26: An investigation officer reportedly died in a motorcycle accident at Khoriya Tole of Ishwarpur Municipality-9 in Sarlahi.
The deceased has been identified as Basant Shah, 29, of Ishwarpur Municipality-6, who was an inspector for the National Investigation Department (NID), according to the District Police Office's Superintendent of Police, Naresh Raj Subedi.

Shah was posted at the district office of the NID. He met with the accident as he was on his way home after his office hours on Tuesday.
His body was retrieved today. Further investigation into the case is underway, said District Police Office Spokesperson Dipendra Panjiyar Tharu.
