No more power outage in the days to come: Energy Minister Sharma

KATHMANDU, April 9: Energy Minister Janardan Sharma said load-shedding would not take place in the days to come under any pretext with the country now entering the 'era of brightness'.

KATHMANDU, April 9: Energy Minister Janardan Sharma said load-shedding would not take place in the days to come under any pretext with the country now entering the 'era of brightness'. 



Addressing an interaction organised in Malaysia jointly by Nepali embassy in Malaysia and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) on 'Role of Malaysia and NRNA in Nepal's energy sector', Minister Sharma said following an end to the perennial problem of power outage from this year, Nepal has witnessed a noticeable change in economic sector, including the record increment in economic growth rate in the past 25 years.

He also urged Nepali workers and industrialists in Malaysia to increase investment in energy and join 'Nepal's Water People's Investment' campaign initiated by the government in a bid to make strides in energy sector, by utilising skills and efficiencies gained from the foreign land. 


Also on the occasion, Nepal's ambassador to Malaysia Dr Niranjan Man Singh Basnet viewed that a campaign could be moved forward for the development and economic prosperity of Nepal by utilising skills achieved from and using technology used by Malaysia. RSS
