No vehicular movement on Sunday

KATHMANDU, May 12: The vehicular movement will be prohibited on Sunday for the first phase of local level election.

KATHMANDU, May 12: The vehicular movement will be prohibited on Sunday for the first phase of local level election. The Election Commission (EC) has decided to prohibit use of public and private vehicles on May 14 in 34 districts of Provinces 3, 4 and 6.

This prohibition will come into effect from Saturday midnight till Sunday midnight. The EC, however, would allow ambulances and vehicles used by security agencies, emergency services and the press after they get approval from the concerned authorities.


EC has issued a circular to the security agencies including traffic police to monitor this prohibition.
