NRB directs banks and financial institutions to extend Saturday services for next two weeks

KATHMANDU, July 7: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks and financial institutions to extend Saturday services for the next two weeks in view of the closure of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/23.

KATHMANDU, July 7: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has directed banks and financial institutions to extend Saturday services for the next two weeks in view of the closure of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2022/23.



NRB in a notice on Friday directed banks and financial institutions to remain open till 8 pm on Saturday for the next two weeks (July 8 and July 15) for revenue collection, check clearing, and fund transfer.

The NRB notice also mentions that all the banks dealing with revenue transactions will remain open till 7 pm on July 16. Banks and financial institutions as well as Nepal Clearing House have been instructed to keep their transactions open to make arrangements for revenue collection.
