"When the then Nepal Communist Party (NCP) won the election for five years and ran the government, KP Sharma Oli said that he would now run the government for 50 years but he could not run the government for three years." He said that Oli was showing his bully side.

While stating that the NC would not betray the nation on any issues, General Secretary Sharma said that it is useless to say that MCC was a betrayal of the nation. Arguing that the military strategy of any country is not acceptable to Nepal, he clarified that there is no military strategy involved in the MCC grant agreement.

Arguing further that UML Chairman Oli himself had registered the MCC grant agreement in the parliament following a decision made through the cabinet, Sharma said that UML did not chant slogans against the project and did not comment anything on the project, showing clearly that the UML supports the project.
