RUPANDEHI, March 4: Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has said that the incumbent government has the support of a majority of parliamentarians in the House of Representatives (HoR).

Talking to media persons on Thursday, Minister Poudel clarified that the incumbent government will continue to exist for the remaining two years term of parliament. He further claimed that the incumbent government would not be toppled even by registering a no-confidence motion and the KP Sharma Oli-led government would exist for the remaining two years term.

Poudel also blamed the Dahal-Nepal faction for its engagement in forming a new government toppling a government of the communist party that enjoys nearly two-thirds majority in parliament. He argued that the efforts of the Dahal-Nepal group , however, would go in vain.

Minister Poudel said, "The leaders of the Dahal-Nepal group have been offering prime ministerial posts to the leaders of other parties. Their effort to form a new government of non-communists by toppling the incumbent government will go in vain."

He added, "The people have given a mandate to the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by KP Sharma Oli to run the government and will again reward it with majority votes."
