On the run goons killed in cross fire

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Two gangsters, involved in the killing of Durga Tiwari and Basanta Paudel, were killed in an encounter with police at around 3:30 AM today, Chief of Rupandehi police, Shyam Gyawali said.

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Two gangsters, involved in the killing of Durga Tiwari and Basanta Paudel, were killed in an encounter with police at around 3:30 AM today, Chief of Rupandehi police, Shyam Gyawali said. 



Those killed are Manoj Pun and Som Ale.

Acting on a tip-off, the Central Bureau of Investigation and Rupandehi Police had initiated a search mission after knowing the duo was conspiring for harmful incident in the district. The police located the duo at Bhawanipur of Dev Daha-4, Rupandehi at 3:30 AM. The police returned fire to the gangsters, injuring both. 


Both died while being taken to Lumbini Zonal Hospital, SP Gyawali said. Tiwari was the chairperson of UML's Youth Association, Rupandehi and Paudel was a businessman in the district.
