PANCHTHAR, July 25: A person died and 13 others were injured when a taxi met with an accident on Tuesday near Krishna Temple of Phidim Municipality-2 in Panchthar.
According to Police Inspector Milan Thapa, the taxi with the registration number plate (Me 1 Ja 1941) fell some 200 meters down the road as it was en route to Phidim from Birtamod in Jhapa. The driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle and it resulted in the accident. The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.

Among the injured, two women have been referred to Jhapa for further treatment, according to the District Police Office, Panchthar.
