DANG May 19: One person died and 23 others were injured this morning when two buses collided in Deukhuri.
The deceased is 24-year-old Shobha Pariyar of Rolpa Runtigadhi Rural Municipality-9. Including her two sons, 23 people were injured in the accident. Of them, 12 are in critical condition.

Dang District Police Office Spokesperson Rajan Kumar Gautam shared that the accident occurred when a bus (Lu 2 Kha 785) going from Lamahi to Bhalubang, collided into another bus (Na 5 Kha 4898), traveling from Birgunj to Tulsipur. The accident occurred around 7 in the morning.
According to DSP Gautam, 12 of the passengers are in serious condition. Among the critically injured, 7 people have been referred to Bhairahawa, 3 people to Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi and 2 to Nepalgunj. Other injured passengers are being treated at Lamahi Hospital.
