NAWALPARASI, Jan 9: One woman was killed and seven others were injured when five vehicles crashed into each other at Binayi Tribeni rural municipality-2 in the district on Monday. Dumkibas-bound truck (Lu 3 Ta 4500) and a truck (Na 4 Kha 6690) collided before other three vehicles (truck (Na 3 Kha 5936, jeep (Lu 3 Cha 5322 and truck (Na 6 Kha 5429) run into them.

The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old local resident Bhagawati Karki. Of the injured receiving treatment at a hospital in Bharatpur, Chitwan, four are reported to be in serious condition, the police said, adding that the deceased and injured were travelling in the ill-fated truck when the accident occurred.(RSS)
