JHAPA, Nov 29: One person was killed and 22 others were injured in a bus accident at Viring Bridge on the East-West Highway in Kankai Municipality-8.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 8041) heading from east to west crashed into the railing of the bridge on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Utsav Poudel, 16, of Kankai-7, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa
Among the injured, 11 are undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital while 12 at Birta City Hospital, Birtamod. Police said that further investigation is currently underway in the incident.
