Thaneshwor Chapagain, information officer of the District Police Office, Lamjung, said that even though a team of security personnel was deployed in the morning to clear the debris and open the road, the ongoing rain caused delay in the operation.

Vehicles and passengers were stranded due to the road closure. Passengers traveling to Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan from Besisahar and vice-versa, and to mountainous district Manang via  Besisahar are heading towards their destinations following the resumption of traffic on the road.
