Only chartered flights allowed to operate today as country goes for poll

KATHMANDU, Nov 20: There will be no domestic flights in the country today as the country is voting for the members of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly. According to the Tribhuvan International Airport office, there will be only domestic chartered flights from Tribhuvan International Airport.

According to TIA Spokesperson Teknath Sitaula, Tara Air has received permission for four chartered flights on Sunday. It is said that Tara Air will operate a chartered flight to bring tourists from Lukla to Kathmandu.


According to the airport officials, there will be a few rescue flights of helicopters. Spokesperson Sitaula said that there will be regular international flights despite election today.
