KATHMANDU, July 10: With the latest decision of the Monitoring and Good Governance Committee under the Legislature-Parliament today, only the former Rt honorable VIPs will enjoy facilities from the state treasury.
Today' meeting of the committee decided to provide facility of vehicle, driver and fuel only to former President, Vice-president, Prime Minister, Chief Justice and speaker. Presently, even former Deputy Prime Ministers and Home Ministers are entitled to such facilities.

With the new provision, former chiefs and senior officials of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and armed Police force will also stop getting such facilities.
It may be noted that the committee had formed a sub-committee under the chairmanship of Janakraj Joshi to look into the matter and make a recommendation. Today's decision is based on the sub-committee's recommendation. RSS
