KATHMANDU, August 16: The outgoing Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Hitendra Dev Shakya has knocked at the doors of the Supreme Court against the reappointment of Kul Man Ghising in the NEA.
Former Managing Director Shakya filed a writ at the apex court on Monday demanding his reinstatement as the Managing Director of the state-owned power utility. Earlier, the government had transferred him to the Power Commission and appointed Ghising in his post.

Shakya has claimed that he had not received any official letter about the decision of the government to remove him from the post. Arguing that his constitutionally guaranteed right was violated while removing him from the post, Shakya has demanded an interim order against the government's decision.
