KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Pakistan has named Abrar H Hashmi as a new ambassador to Nepal.



Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved his name as new envoy to Nepal upon recommendation of Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilwal Bhutto Zardari.

The nomination of a new ambassador comes shortly after incumbent Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Syed Haider Shah returned home after completing his term in Nepal.


Hashmi is a career diplomat. He is presently serving as Consul General of Pakistan in Huston, Texas, USA
