LUMBINI, May 23: An inter-province meeting of the Journalists Society for Parliamentary Affairs (JSPA) has demanded wider consultations with stakeholders while introducing media related laws.
The three-day meeting of the journalists reporting on federal parliament and seven provincial assemblies concluded in Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, on Wednesday issuing a six-point declaration.

The parliamentary affairs journalists have also drawn the attention of provincial assemblies for easing assess on reporting on parliamentary issues by establishing media centers and management of records and information.
The meeting organized by Journalists Society for Parliamentary Affairs (JSPA) Province 5 committee has also formed an inter-province parliamentary journalists' alliance in the chairmanship of JSPA Province 5 chairperson Bishnu Ghimire. Journalists were also offered training from experts on parliamentary reporting, issues of identification, investigative story writing and on the parliamentary procedures and terminologies.
