KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Nepal Bar Association (NBA) Chairman Chandeshwor Shrestha has said that the political parties should make a decision to impeach Chief Justice Cholendra SJB Rana.
Talking to media persons after attending a protest program outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday, Chairman Shrestha said that the political parties should address the Bar’s request and come to a decision to impeach the chief justice. He said that the political parties should not look away from the problems of the judiciary and stressed the need for making the judiciary free of corruption.

The protests by lawyers affiliated with the NBA which had stopped for a few days have started again. The lawyers have been demanding the resignation of CJ Rana, accusing him of seeking a ‘share’ in the government through ‘give and take.’
The NBA has warned of continuing the protests unless the chief justice resigns.
