BAITADI, Oct 2: A pedestrian was crushed to death after being rammed by an unidentified vehicle in Baitadi on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Bahadur Bista, 55, of Lower Anarkholi area of Sidheswor – 8, District Police Office (DPO), Baitadi said.

Bista was walking along the Anarkholi section of the Mahakali Highway at 8:30 pm when he was rammed by a vehicle. As the police launched a hunt for the vehicle, the victim's relatives forced the highway section to shutdown in protest and placed the dead body in the middle of the road.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Balan Narsingh Rana, has reached the site of the protest to clear the road and facilitate travelers. RSS
