CHITWAN, Nov 25: A pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a truck with an Indian registration number in Chitwan.
A pedestrian was killed when a truck numbered (HR 55X 1482) hit him in Ramnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City 1 at around 2:20 am today. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed yet. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the deceased is aged around 45 years.

Police said that he was seriously injured in the accident. He died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital.
The truck fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Later, the police team of Ward Police Office Narayanghat arrested the absconding truck and its driver, the police said. The driver is 38-year-old Talis Khan from the village of Saharanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
