People in quarantine returning home without receiving test results

BAITADI, July 5: Many of those who were staying in various quarantine facilities awaiting COVID-19 test results have returned home without receiving any information on Sunday.

BAITADI, July 5: Many of those who were staying in various quarantine facilities awaiting COVID-19 test results have returned home without receiving any information on Sunday.

Individuals who had tested positive for COVID-19 through the Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) were also among those returning home.


The Health Coordinator of Dashrath Chand Municipality, Durgha Dutta Joshi said that they returned home after staying in quarantine facilities for more than 14 days.


The Far Western Province has only one PCR Machine to conduct COVID-19 tests due to which the swab samples have piled up in the laboratory for testing.


More than 700 individuals are staying in various quarantine centers in Baitadi district. Some 495 swab samples collected are yet to be tested.
