Perks and benefits of Parliament Secretariat employees cannot be hiked: Chairman Timilsina

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has made it clear that there is no situation to increase the perks and benefits of the employees of the Parliament Secretariat.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Chairman of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, has made it clear that there is no situation to increase the perks and benefits of the employees of the Parliament Secretariat.



Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Tuesday on the occasion of the Parliament Service Day, he made it clear that the budget for the Parliament Secretariat cannot be increased without improvement in the country's economic situation.

Chairman Timilsina also cautioned that the employees should not demand for more perks when the financial condition is not good.


He assured that after the improvement in the country's economic situation, he would insist on addressing the issue.


Timilsina mentioned that the issue of increasing the perks of the parliamentarians will also be raised and said that it is not possible to pay attention to that issue now.
