PHC calls for registration of complaints against proposed Supreme Court Justice Shrestha

KATHMANDU, March 14: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has called for complaints, if any, against Til Prasad Shrestha, the chief judge of Biratnagar High Court who has been proposed as a Supreme Court (SC) Justice.

KATHMANDU, March 14: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has called for complaints, if any, against Til Prasad Shrestha, the chief judge of Biratnagar High Court who has been proposed as a Supreme Court (SC) Justice.



A meeting of the PHC held at Singha Durbar on Monday called for registering complaints against Shrestha, who has been recommended by the Judicial Council for the post of Supreme Court justice, within 10 days.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Committee Laxman Lal Karna said that it has been decided to issue 10 days notice as per the rules of procedure of the parliamentary hearing and the hearing will start at the committee meeting after 10 days. He said that this information would be issued to all stakeholders including the general public.
