KATHMANDU, August 21: The last rites of senior Nepali Congress (NC) leader and lawmaker Pradip Giri who passed away last night are being performed at Pashupati Aryaghat.

Leaders and cadres of various political parties, including the NC, have reached Pashupati Aryaghat to pay tributes to Giri. Before it was taken to Pashupati Aryaghat, his body was kept at the NC Central Office, Sanepa.
Giri, who was suffering from throat cancer and pneumonia, died at the age of 74 at 9:30PM on Saturday.
