PM Dahal urges relevant ministries to address grievances of those traveling abroad on visit visas

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the relevant ministries and bodies to immediately stop the harassment the Nepalis going abroad with visit visa and work permits face at the airport. The PM gave the instructions after receiving complaints that Nepalis going abroad were being harassed at the airport.

KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the relevant ministries and bodies to immediately stop the harassment the Nepalis going abroad with visit visa and work permits face at the airport. The PM gave the instructions after receiving complaints that Nepalis going abroad were being harassed at the airport. 


He gave such instructions in a discussion with the secretaries of the relevant ministries including Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Sharat Singh Bhandari, Chief Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal.



In the discussion, Prime Minister Dahal mentioned that there have been complaints of harassment at the airport for individuals who have a visit visa and work permit, and asked to create a comfortable environment for such individuals immediately.

Prime Minister Dahal said, "I have received complaints that individuals traveling on visit visas are being turned away from the airport due to insufficient documentation, only to be sent back a few days later after necessary arrangements are made. For those traveling on visit visas, please adhere to immigration procedures. Stop causing distress to the people."


Additionally, Prime Minister Dahal instructed all relevant agencies to conduct awareness programs on foreign employment and visit visas at the municipal level and work in the nation's and people's best interests.
