PM Oli supports Dhurmus-Suntali's plan to construct intl cricket stadium

KATHMANDU, March 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed government's support to the plan of Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation to construct an international cricket stadium in the country.

KATHMANDU, March 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli expressed government's support to the plan of Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation to construct an international cricket stadium in the country. Oli expressed so during an hour's meeting with the couple, who have been credited for building model houses in Giran Chaur, Sindhupalchowk and Mahottari.



Sitaram Kattel, commonly known as Dhurmus said that they were delighted with Oli's support. Kattel quoted Oli, "we urge you to proceed with the plan. We will back up. Once I return from India, we will talk about it again. Until then, please complete all preparatory works."

In turn, Kattel said, "we will form a committee by inviting related ministries and agencies with skilled human resources for the project."


Kattel and his wife, Kunchana Ghimire (Suntali) had announced their plan through a Facebook post which garnered ample responses and appreciation for project.  "An international ground will also help to boost Nepali cricket," Kattel said.
