Police arrest five 'Enough is Enough' campaigners

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested five 'Enough is Enough' campaigners, who were on their way to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) to seek information by filing a Right to Information (RTI) petition.

KATHMANDU, July 29: Police have arrested five 'Enough is Enough' campaigners, who were on their way to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) to seek information by filing a Right to Information (RTI) petition.



According to police, the campaigners were arrested from the southern gate of the Singhadurbar-- the principal secretariat of the government-- following a directive received from the Home Ministry.

 Chief of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu, Senior Superintendent of Police Shyam Lal Gyawali said the campaigners were arrested from the prohibited zone inside Singhadurbar. "They campaigners planned to stage a protest inside Singh Durbar. They [campaigners] had also invited media persons to cover the protest program,” he claimed


The arrested have been kept at the Mahendra Police Club. The cell phones of the arrested are also seized.
